 Ancient Civilizations Fair 2010 - I am so proud of my students!  They created many fun, interactive skits, games, and presentations to show our visitors what they learned about Rome.

 In October 2009 we studied Ancient Egypt.  We Learned all sorts of fascinating stuff! The n we "mummified" a chicken using the same tecniques the Egyptians used to preserve their Pharaohs for the after- life.

First step (after naming our king chicken);  give him a bath! 





Several more steps and he is ready to mummify, 6-8 weeks.

After king chicken is thoroughly dried and preserved he is wrapped and bejeweled. Now he is ready to face the afterlife in his tomb.

He'll need preservatives -very similar to natron, which the Egyptians used.
